What is the Nature of IJMB Examinations?
Understanding a particular examination is about 50% of the preparation you have to make to pass it. This understanding enlightens you on what to read, how to read, and what topics to cover to gain stability in your results.
Basically, the IJMB examination is a qualifying examination or advanced level subject for admission to Nigerian and foreign universities at the 200 level.
To be eligible to sit for this examination, you must have passed one of the following exams:
- The Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSCE) i.e. (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB)
- The General Certificate Examination (GCE) i.e. (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB)
Basically, the examination is a test of your understanding of classes organized for nine months or two semesters. The success of the exams qualifies you to proceed to the 2nd year of undergraduate programs in most universities in the country. You may want to see UNN Post UTME Past Questions and Answers.
The examination comprises questions drawn from three advanced-level subjects, usually related to your chosen discipline. Depending on your exam centers, each subject could be divided into sections.
And, students are expected to answer at least one question from each section. The number of questions answered totals four or above in most situations.

Why You Need IJMB Past Questions and Answers
IJMB is usually organized to last one academic year with the sole objective of equipping students with the necessary knowledge to excel in the second level of their chosen discipline
You are required to pay fees for this academic year. And you must pay an examination and tuition fee of 100,000 Naira with an application of 8,5000 Naira and a clearance fee of 20,000 Naira.
These prices may differ based on your IJMB center. If you fail this year, you are likely to pay these fees again to get another opportunity.
However, practicing with IJMB past questions and answers will save you this extra cost. Because the exam tests your understanding of an academic year curriculum which is usually the same for a period, questions from previous years are repeated often.
So, if you get a copy of IJMB’s past questions and answers, a good percentage of the questions on the examination day has been asked previously.
